Can I specify what initiative funded by the Manali Medical Aid Project that I would like my donation to go towards?
Yes:
- Select the initiatives (sub-projects) from the Project Schedule in the 2010 Prospectus that you would like your contribution to go towards (you do not have to select a sub-project if you do not wish to – we will ensure your contribution goes where it is most urgently needed).
- Contact us at donations@manalimedicalaid.org with :
a) your contact details (including your organisation name, if applicable)
b) the amount you wish to donate and how you would like to transfer the donation (include reference details if you have already made the transfer)
c) the sub-projects you may have chosen
d) also let us know if you are interested in having your logo displayed on our website, or have any other publicity/feedback requests - We will personally reply with confirmation within 2 or 3 days (usually within a few hours!)
Can my business request specific photo opportunities to be used by our marketing department? Yes! At the heart of our project is the concept of exchange:
- For our school and community sponsors, we speak at school assemblies, individually to groups (e.g. St Vincent de Paul societies), Rotary meetings, etc
- For our business sponsors, we are committed to providing anything that might be required for marketing purposes – be it photos, reports or videos. Part of our project is spreading the awareness of developing world health and there is no better way of doing this than through businesses getting involved and leading by example. We are also more than happy to speak at corporate events.
- Case study: In 2007, SDL Tridion, an Amsterdam-based software house expressed interest in communicating their support for the project to their clients as part of a Christmas Card campaign. To accommodate the SDL Tridion marketing department, students organised SDL Tridion-sponsorship money to be used on vaccinating children in a Manali orphanage. Photos were taken and distributed to the marketing department from which SDL Tridion then created a website and released Christmas Cards that were distributed to their clients to a very positive response.
